Dr. Steven Schiebert, DO, MD is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with specialization in spine surgery. Dr. Schiebert performs comprehensive operative procedures on every segment of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine, including discectomy, laminectomy, decompression, arthrodesis, correction of adult spine deformities, spine trauma, as well as minimally invasive surgeries including percutaneous discectomies, fusions, steroid injections in the epidural space, transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF), and facet joint injections.

Dr. Steven Schiebert graduated medical school in the former USSR in 1990. He then completed a general and microvascular surgery fellowship in 1992. In the United States, Dr. Schiebert completed osteopathic medical school in 2007, becoming a comprehensive physician with an osteopathic and allopathic approach to treating patients. He continued his training with an orthopedic surgery residency at North Shore-LIJ/Plainview Hospital. He then completed a fellowship in spine surgery at Brown University Warren Alpert Medical School.
